Worth the walk past the TV and radio tower to this little park, if you have awhile in Chengdu. You can walk through the whole park in 15 min. "Live-water" means that there is a stream that runs through the park, over round stones. Children were playing in the water and adults were taking music lessons. Made us forget we were in the middle of a giant Chinese metropolis, even if only for a few minutes.

Chengdu has so many beautiful parks... I preferred the People's Park better. But if this one is walking distance, or you are in the area, it's worth a walk-through. The park is long & skinny, and runs along the river (which in itself is definitely worth walking along). The "live water" part isn't so spectacular, but more fun to watch the kids play in the water, and the elderly using the park for music, dancing, and game playing. Some great views of the tv tower from here as well.

This kind of filtering does not need any nets, only pebbles, rocks and plants can make this mega filtering cycle.
The cycle is almost 17 years old! It started building is cycle in 1997.

This is a small park cleverly tucked along a sliver of Chengdu between main roadway and water way. It's a lovely spot to wander through, especially with young ones, though I don't recommend a stroller here. Kids we saw came armed with butterfly nets, fishing nets, water guns, and bubble wands. Locals also seem to gather here for games and picnics, so you can take in a bit of people watching and gain a sense of Chengdu life. Entry is free to the public.

This long and skinny park runs along side the river opposite the Sichuan TV Tower. Has a nice relaxing vibe. The highlight for me was the small wetland area that has been recreated. Plenty of small birds are about the place. There is another section on the opposite side of the river that includes an ornamental roller coaster. There is more space on that side for having a picnic.
