The Revamp has made all the difference
Sep 2021
This little oasis has recently benefitted from a total overhaul. Of course the lake is still there but the WW2 bunker with pill boxes has been transformed into an art display space. There are new kiosks providing activities for all, the pathways are re-metaled in "bouncy tarmac" and the floral displays replanted. Lovely , well used and a great place to unwind.

A Small Old Park Where U Can See How Old Chengduers Enjoy Their Lives
Mar 2015 • Family
Actually it is just a small old park, and the views are in an average level.

There are many kinds of facilities, such as recreational facilities and workout facilities. The park is free of charge, but most of those facilities are not. Many children are having fun here riding the rides.

I like the environment here, the path, the tree corridor, and the pigeon garden. And there is even a small lake in the park, which is called Carp Lake. Wait, is it true that almost every park in Chengdu has a lake (no matter how small they are)? The walk in the park only takes me 30 minutes.

You can see many old people here, dancing, singing, working out, playing chess, reading, and so on. People's paces are slow here, which makes feel they are enjoying instead of living their lives.

In a word, it's not a highlighted spot, but if your hotel is nearby, you can pay a small visit here. You won't need to spend much time cause the park is really very small.
