Unbelievable sight until you actually see it!!

It is relatively easy to get here with public transportation within the city of Chengdu. The Chengdu Metro- Line 2 (Orange) heading in direction of Longquanyi-- you get off at Chunxi Road -Exit C & D. As you exit the metro stop, you will encounter many shops before you actually make it outside. Once you are out, turn towards the right side and there the Chengdu International Finance Square Mall is apparent with the huge panda clinging onto the building. The statue is called "Climbing Panda." It is approximately 49ft. tall made of more than 4,000 pieces of triangles put together.

From the street level in front of the mall, it appears that the Panda is trying to climb its way into the roof the Chengdu International Finance Mall. Walk up to the entrance of the mall where a set of escalators will take you into the Mall. From there, take the escalator or elevator (latter perhaps) is easier up to the 7th floor outdoor Sculpture Garden. Once outside in the Sculpture Garden, you will encounter the "Climbing Panda" up close right in front of you!

When we visited in July, there was a special exhibit "Nature Connects" a special display until Aug. 21, 2018. This was a collection of Rainforest, Endangered Species, and Steppe animals around the world on display all made of Lego pieces. It was a nice walk through this special exhibit.
Below the "Climbing Panda's" face-- there were a group of lego pandas on display. There was a line of people waiting to be photographed with the "Climbing Pandas" face ~10 minute wait but it was well worth all our efforts. The line moved continiously.
Definitely an enjoyable walk through this huge shopping mall. Well worth the detour while shopping or eating here while visiting Chengdu!!

A big mall with various high-end fashion brands and conveniently situated right on top of the metro station. The place is also full of western and asian restaurants to satisfy your appetite.

It's a mega complex with hundreds of shops and restaurants located in the heart of the city. You can spend a day there without going out. Besides shopping, They have a cinema, an ice rack, a bowling centre, a Shiseido spa & salon, and many dining options. Above the mall, they have a sculpture garden hanged with a mega giant created by Lawrence Argent.

Glamorous, expensive but full of delicious food places!

IFS is very easy to find and very well known. It's on Chunxi road and the building has an enormous panda hanging on it. Also the subway is nearby. You simply can't miss it.

At first this shopping mall might have an intimidating vibe. It's all expensive shops, where you would never pay anything in cash. Everything looks clean and well taken care of. We were kind of helplessly looking around and immediately an IFS staff member came up close to help us out. Very kind indeed, only we don't know any Chinese so we couldn't understand him.

Although I wouldn't necessarily come here for a shopping spree, this place still has a great pull for people and that reason is because of it's top notch restaurants!

Actually right in front of the building is a huge board with a list of all their restaurants. They each have a picture up, so you can have a feel of the kind of food they serve. It's a good way to get people to come to their restaurants. Even in the elevators, you can see more pictures of the various restaurants they have. It really adds to the hunger you already might have!

The best restaurants are on the top floor, there is a place called let's burger, a sushi place called Genki sushi and many more. I'm willing to go to as many restaurants my wallet let's me.
