Our tour in Shandong took us to the Dingyuan Ironclad Battleship - the once flagship of the Chinese Beiyang Fleet
The ship is actually a replica, and is basically a floating/docked museum giving a very interesting history of the ship, in Chinese and partially in English, as well as being dotted with exhibits to show you how crew members worked, lived, and ate in the ship.
Worth a visit if you're in the area, and have an interest in naval history, but otherwise, it's probably not worth going out of your way to have a look...

This is one of the military ships purchased by China from Germany as part of the Japanese-China war. The vessel has been kept in good condition and interesting to tour.

A very busy area with shops and restaurants at the end of one of Weihai's lovely parks. A warship from the war (Japan/China) gives a good idea of the ships from that period
