Nothing exceptional about this temple. We did the long walk from the southern gate of Zhongshan Park, and the walk wasn't really worth it.

If this was one of the first temples you'd ever seen, I'd imagine it would be a little more impressive, but it was just your typical temple.

The temple grounds are nothing special and I did not pay to see the main building...you can still see the pagoda and the garden without paying...the pagoda area offers some good views of the city which makes it a worthwhile stop

People are coming here to worship and it shows in the calming energy within the temple:-) If you are in the area stop by to take a break from the hustle and bustle from the city.
The bathrooms are quite disgusting.
There are ramps next to the stairs I noted, which I guess are meant to be for wheel chairs, even though I am wondering since one was quite long and steep.

Zhan SHan temple is the biggest buddhist temple in the city. It consist of many halls dedicated to different saints. You can buy or take for free some scent sticks and follow an easy procedure of praying. If you're lucky enough you can witness the service. Also you can climb up on of the halls, from where you can see the whole city and a beautiful Buddha hall. Especially beautiful on a sunny day. There is a cute little green park at the exit where you can rest before taking a long walk along the nice mountain streets near the temple. There is nothing that might blow your mind but everything to find the peace of mind.

A peaceful and pleasant location. Zhanshan temple is a large Buddhist complex in Qingdao just over the hill from Zhongshan park. If you need a place to unwind and take in an ancient culture this place is it. There are great vantage to take in views the pharmacy tower is very impressive. Like most temples it is very quiet and calming.

I have been coming to qingdao for many years but someone never managed to go see this temple.

It s worth a visit if you are in the area, the entrance only cost 10 RMB which makes it one of the most affordable attraction in qingdao along with the zoo.

Expect to spend about 1h there.

The only Buddhist temple in Qingdao, it is not very large and is manageable to walk through in a short time. There are many temples in China, not very unique.
