This is the most beautiful shopping mall that I have seen in China. With all the upscale stores located here, prices are expected to be quite expensive and customers are all well to do with money. We were staying at the Intercontinental not far away so it was quite convenient just walk up here to find dinner. There is a clay pot rice restaurant near the supermarket at the basement where we had an enjoyable dinner. Everything was sparkling clean and the whole place was beautiful and peaceful.

To start with, this is a typical Chinese upscale shopping mall. It is full of "branded" stores that have high end goods that are just a little too expensive for my wallet, but then again, I don't buy them back in the States either.
That being said, it is very clean and great for people watching. My favorite store is the grocery store on the B1 level, it has an excellent, but limited, selection of Western grocery items. As an expat, it is nice to be able to shop for things from home. Although the prices may seem high at first, they are typical of what you will find in China. Qindao's German influence is strong in this store as the bakery has a nice variety of German style breads, pretzels, and sweets. The deli also has a nice selection of sausages, wurst, and cheese. So, if you are in Qindao for a few days and want a taste of home, this is the place for you.

This is probably Qingdao's most upmarket shopping mall with the most famous and well known brands all having high end shops within it. It is selling luxury and is is reflected in the decor and layout of the mall itself. The italian restaurant Casanova on the fifth floor is very good and the supermarket and Starbucks on the basement floor are also very good. Iif you have money to spend then this is one very good shopping destination.

This is a high end department store in downtown Qingdao - luxury world brand shops, multiple excellent restaurants and an international supermarket in the basement - with coffee shops, european bakery, ice-cream, tea etc. A great place to people watch and wander looking at what the rich can afford, then eat or drink reasonable priced food and coffee (inc Starbucks). Surrounded by other international dept. stores and very close to the marina/harbour.

Only top brands with sky high prices. Great choices but not for me. Grocery has many imported western goods but with extra margin on the top

This is a complex with a large basement with many shops, coffee shops and resturants and a beautiful supermarket. They have just added a huge bookstore with many books of the more serious type. Across the street is the Marina City which is another complex, but with a movie theatre, ice skating ring and more choices of resturants. The shops are catered for high end clients. Even if you are not shopping, just wanderig around, sitting in one of their coffee shops and visiting one of the resturants would make a pleasant day,

It is a mall, enough said. You looking for some Prada that is not a knockoff come here, but the real reason to come here is downstairs, the grocery story that is attached to this mall is probably the most non-native friendly mall in Qingdao. The selections are better, you can get spices and things to cook with that is why you visit, aside from that it is a mall.
