Along with several of the other beaches along the coast here, there are many couples having their wedding photographs taken - not just one or two but LOTS OF THEM. There was even a horse on one part of the beach! All of the coastal beaches along here are joined by a path which goes for many kilometres - that... More

My sister and I celebrated our mother's 100th birthday by walking the beaches she had loved as a child. Between Qingdao Second Beach and Third Beach is a rocky promontory, like a crochet hook, called Iltis Huk by the Germans 100 years ago. We enjoyed an afternoon on the Seaside Sightseeing Path.

The No.1 Bathing Beach boasts of clean fine sandy beach and azure sea water studded with pavilions perched at the summit of well carved cliff landscape along the coastline of the Lun Xun Park. Right in the middle of the beach, one could find rows of unattended brightly colored dinghies lie lustrously like gorgeous mermaids luring beach lovers to the... More

The beach was covered with tourists who have never seen the sea before. The weather was foggy, just like smog. Best to avoid this area. Period!

This beach has a 2RMB entrance fee. If you are looking for a place to swim, this beach is less crowded and has cleaner water.

A pretty, small, safe for swimming, a lovely place to visit all year round. You can often see engaged couples getting their wedding photos taken. The Russian house at the end is worth a visit as is the Badaguan area to walk around and admire the trees and the authentic German built houses, still occupied. Lovely to fly a kite... More

Qingdao Second Beach can be reached right through Badaguan Scenic Resort. I went during winter, so it was not possible to play in the sea or to sunbathe, I even had to wear dawn jacket and the wind still went inside it. It's a nice beach, and it should be a very nice place to be in the summer.

Nice place to stroll, particularly in the off season , when tourists have left. Everyday different as the tide changes.

We had a great time here playing in the sand and paddling in the sea. We have been in October and May - both times the weather was lovely but not too crowded, even at the weekend. We didn't have to pay. Walls and Nestle ice cream also available! (though not much other food - we brought a picnic).
