My wife and i spent a weekend in Qingdao and we really loved the place. One of the highlights is the promenade walk along the many Qingdao beaches. Start from the Olympic Marina and stroll along. Its amazing to have a high rise skyline on your right side and lovely beaches to your left. You will pass many beaches and... More

It's a nice beach, but it's not a relaxing one unless you visit in the winter, just like every other beach in Qingdao. Nothing too special, but its still a nice beach. There's a decent amount of things to do nearby. It's crazy how in the winter, you'll see older men swimming in the frigid waters!

I was there when it was gently raining and it was fairly dull - it is not very big but my host tells me that at the right time (or wrong time depending on your view point) that there are many thousands of people on the beach... it is very close to the main shipping area and I would be... More

spending few days there was mandatory to visit the beach but it is not so nice. After taking bath your skin is oily and the sand is dirty. Not recommendable.

I was told that I went at the right time as it was not flooded with tourist. The locals are enjoying the place by flying kites, naked swimming and playing volleyball. It is very cooling to walk along the sandy beach

Easy to access and find. Busy beach with many local Chinese. Bring your own umbrella for the beach as the asking price to rent is super high for foreigner.

I was in Shandong Province for 10 days, traveled from Qingdao to Jinan, Taian and Qufu and later returned to Qingdao again to take my flight back to Singapore. All in, I spent 5 days in Qingdao. Qingdao is one of the most European, greenest and cleanest cities of China. From my travel experience, I would divide the main attractions... More

We visited in Summer - the beach was crowded and the water was dirty. The best part is the walk along the promenade or riding the boats or jet skis -from 180RMB. Catching a taxi in this area is very difficult!

One of several long, clean sandy beaches in Qingdao. Great washroom facilities and a fun location to watch the wedding photography craziness.

Visited this beach as part of a long nice walk from Ba Da Guan scenic resort, through No.2 and No. 1 bathing beaches and Lu Xun Park, up to Zhan Qiao pier. Quite relaxing and enjoyable, also because not in the full season (otherwise I would imagine crowded all day).
