I went to the museum early afternoon. It was hot so I enjoy another beer and food in a fun atmosphere, people watching and great food too. There was lots of restaurants to choose from.

Beer Street it's ok, just lots of restaurants.
You should go there from 7pm until around 11pm. After that, the street is dead.
The food and beer is not cheap, but ok price.
I was hoping to find very good and delicious seafood and I got disappointed, normal food, nothing special. One thing that I didn't like is that they don't have menus, you have to stand up and go with the waiter to a table where they show the food they have. Difficult for someone that does not speak English.
One thing that I don't understand is, Tsingtao Beer in Beijing is cheaper than the Tsingtao Beer in Qingdao in the Beer Street, which is the street of the Tsingtao Factory.

Well, if you are visiting Qingdao you are probably there for the beer and then you will visit Beer Street, where you can buy beer from a multiple beer vending machines. You can pick the size of your buy between 500ml to 3 litres pumped into a plastic takeaway bottle right there.

There's tonnes of beer here waiting to be drunk, but I can't give this place a good review. It's basically a stretch with loads of restaurants with beer on tap just outside the Beer Museum.

Although a jug of normal beer costs 10RMB, this isn't an option given- we were asked if we want the green beer, the black beer etc for 60RMB a jug. The food is very overpriced (all Chinese food).

Watch out for any singers who come close. Two female singers came up to our table started singing two songs, demanded 100RMB (despite us not asking or paying attention to them) and started getting aggressive, phoning friends to come over to intimidate us. The rest of the bar (all Chinese patrons) then were on the side of the singers, chanting for us to pay them and filming our reactions on their mobile phones.

Go instead to TongShan Lu where a jug of black beer is 15RMB, or go to Ah Chao Jia's on the same road where we were given hugs and gallons of beer cheaply and is frequented by China's darts association.

I've been in China for 4 years, been traveling for 15, and I've never had such a negative and threatening experience as I did on beer street.

On Beer Street in Qingdao it is a must, to been have a dinner and beer! It is a mix of different places but almost every restaurant have sea food and some meat. But the most important thing is the fresh Qingdao beer that comes in different varieties!

Tsingtao beer was introduced to the region by the Germans. We were taken around the museum and shown the major points of interest. There are 2 parts to the tour , building A and building B. Building B is the most important as you get 2 glasses of beer. As I am not a lager drinker I was pleasently surprised at the taste of the brew.

Very disappointing neighborhood next to the museum, for foreigners, like Europeans or Americans, nothing interesting I think. Also November, so hopefully better in summer.

Not many realise that the Tzingdao brewery was a world class brewery that took out global beer awards way back in 1906 when it was run by a German company. The same quality and methods are still in use today and the beer is exceptional.

This is one of those places that will write you a bill. rather than pay first for foreigners at least. make sure you know the prices before agreeing as you may buy a 1$ beer for 20$.
