Don't support this attraction. It is a poorly maintained crowded day of setting animals live in less than acceptable conditions.

My family went to Polar Ocean World for my son's second birthday. he LOVED it! He stood at all the tanks and watched the animals swim back and forth and play in the water. For adults, it's quite limited. There are some food choices inside, but they didn't look overly appealing. We spent about 2 hours here. We could have... More

There aren't a lot of places like this for families to take kids in Qingdao. It's a bit depressing to see how the animals are treated and housed. It makes American zoos look like animal palaces. The animals are in distress here; you see wild animals confined in small places, going crazy. Having said that, there was a dolphin show... More

Seems like this aquarium had more places to eat and buy souvenirs than see animals and fish. Plus, I felt sorry for the animals as they were enclosed in rooms that were too small for them and not very much imagination to them. Also, the show at the end was mediocre. You can't fully rely on the animals to perform... More

Ocean world or Aquarium may be similar wordwide. If you have been these places in other cities, you may not find something fresh there. The services of staffs there were good.

Good amount of sea creatures and few polar bear. Must see if traveling with kids. No comparison with ocean world Hongkong Dolphins show.

Very mediocre place. The show is alright but some animals look really depressed (especially the wolves, held in a 30 sq.m. room!!). Some rooms are beautiful, like the fish rooms. Some other rooms looked weird (like that huge viking-themed room). Overall, the animals deserve better treatment. Went there for a child. I also condemn the pet shop that sells turtles... More

We went in the summer and this place is very small and extremely packed back-to-back. All is enclosed and there is only one way all the way through. Often, you get pushed forward. Not much to see at all. The show was a tease but was fully packed with people and even the stairways were full, definitely out of fire... More

The ocean world is a hugely popular tourist attraction and decent enough to visit if in Qingdao with children and nothing to do. I went to see the Polar Bear but that guy was fast asleep in one corner of his space and all I could glimpse was a leg (or was it a hand?!)! The Sea Animals show was... More

Foolishly we went over a national holiday. Ask where the "shows" are held, get no details. We got the hell out after 30 minutes. Go on a weekday not a holiday. Make sure to use UBER to get a car our as taxi drivers tried to charge us 100 for a 20rmb ride (again, over holiday weekend). Yes, we speak... More
