Pleasant, if crowded, lake park.

I'll admit, I'm a little spoiled. I grew up around lakes and similar parks, so have a high standard. This park is not the best I've been to, but it was nice enough that it put a... read more

To us, nothing much. Over sold on all counts. More crowd than beauty to behold. Utterly disappointed.

I'll admit, I'm a little spoiled. I grew up around lakes and similar parks, so have a high standard. This park is not the best I've been to, but it was nice enough that it put a nice sheen on an otherwise disappointing day. Out ticket was included with entrance to the nearby springs and this was the highlight of... More

Its an interesting and pleasant stroll around Da Ming Hu after taking the boat from Baotu Springs. Pleasant and quiet gardens. However exit from the East gate opens onto a bus terminal. Difficult to get a taxi.

This is an absolutely beautiful lake which is well worth a wander around. You can also take a boat ride or do a sort of aquarium activity where you can see what is below the lake (both cost extra). The park is actually open until 10pm in the summer (although the ticket office closes around 6.30pm), but it is worth... More

The lake is surrounded by a park which is really beautiful. There are boating activities and lots of people doing exercise. Also some pensioners singing when I was there. I was lucky and had a clear day in the spring and the plants were beautiful. It would make living in Jinan very pleasant I think.

There are a lot of parks inside the park where you have to pay, but I would advise you to not go into those parks. It is enough to walk in the free areas. Be prepered that it will take a couple of hours to walk around the whole thing.

The lake park is huge. Provided the leisure activities, history, trees and fresh air for city residents. In summer time, the water lily bloom are tall and all over the lake. History buff can see the work and picture of female poet Lee Chin Tou, one of the most prolific and talented poets from Chin dynasty. The view of the... More

Very nice Lake and adjacent park, worth to be there at Sunset. Mix of Old style Pagoda with bridges linking the "islands".

The lake area is okay, but don't bother paying to get in. Just go around or the other way around the lake, it's a right tourist scam.

The Daming Lake was built into a garden and park in 1985. This is a beautiful lake and park and I highly recommend a visit. One can choose to go for a boat ride in the lake. We started around 8:30am at the east side of the lake, which was free. The pavilion, garden, walkway and landscape was beautiful. Enjoyed... More
