这座塔在灵岩寺的西北角，远远看去是一个新笋的形状，非常美丽。距离太近了，就看不出形状了，所以远距离看最好。据说此塔是宋代的，也是灵岩寺中非常重要的一处文物。可惜，现在不能登塔，只能外观。

辟支塔在灵岩寺里边，很高的一个佛堂，很漂亮，记载说是八角九层十二檐，已经伫立了一千多年了，塔里有大大小小四十尊佛像。真是中国国代建筑高超水平的体现。
