If you only have 1 night to go shopping, Tai Yuan Jie is the place! It is cheaper than Zhong Jie (although Zhong jie is bigger) an you can get all sorts of things. IF you big abit more pieces, you can bargain a little with the staff there, unlike Zhong Jie. This place is value for money, but if... More

We've been to Taiyuan several times and it if you're in the mood for noise and high energy, it can be fun. Shops range from cheap to high-end. Go into the nice malls for air-conditioned quiet and high quality goods. Descend into the underground shops for less expensive goods. Both are fun to experience. You can find everything from fashion... More

There are so many shops and restaurants to choose from. Lots of bargains to be had. I enjoyed a few outside shows with magic tricks, singing and dancing. Also good place for people watching and meeting new friends.

Great street if you're looking for cheap wares, particularly clothing and luggage. There's a massive underground shopping mall which caters specifically for fashion.

One of the best places for shopping in my native city Shenyang!! Equivalent of Nanjing Rd in Shanghai, we have over 200 different shops here. You can find practically anything you need here! I was there long long ago from 1995 to 2000! Then revisited again back in 2008 when I came back~!

I'm not much of a shopper but I was impressed by the breadth of the offerings on this street. From bargain basement goods to the upscale you'd be hard pressed not to find something you wanted. If nothing else try some of the dining venues as there are many. There is a subway stop right under the street so getting... More

So many shops, so little time :)...great fun as well, many bargains to be had and you will not leave there without buying something trust me! I bought new reading glasses (prescription) in one shop and they are much better than UK standard...basically you can get anything here.

It's always good to have a concentration of shops along one street. You would find brand names here but cheaper options exists in the underground shopping bazaar which is directly underneath the street. It gets crowded (not surprised) often. Avoid going underground during festive holidays because it can turn out really bad in emergency situations. If you want to chill... More
