寺庙不大，但由于过节，正赶上僧侣在颂经祈福，人很多，大多焚香拜礼，会送彩色绳可戴在手上。门口不远处是个庙会，各种东西都有的卖。

现在沈阳要重点的发展古都的风采，皇寺也在其中，去参加皇寺的庙会也是一个不错的行程。不过要选好季节和时间，在夏季晚上5时去是最好的了。
