Chilling out in the fragrant air

We came to the the large city-center park for relaxing, unhurried photo taking against the parks varied natural backdrops. It is a clean well-maintained park.

Not good for pushchairs
Dec 2019 • Family
So first off if you have really young kids and need to use a buggy/pushchair or if you need wheelchair access forget it.

Dalian isn't very access friendly in general, with lots of steps and extremely high curbs.

Parking nearby if a bit of a nightmare, just a couple of store fronts or under the nearby bridge/flyover. Expect to pay around 20rmb.

All in all a decent park and it's free!
The majority is however, inaccessible with wheelchair or buggy.

It's a favorite haunt of the elderly and they can be seen doing really weird stuff. Hitting trees, running backwards, shouting at bodies of water etc. Even saw one lady singing karaoke in a tree and another dangling from a branch. It's a lot like a scene from "one flew over the cuckoo's nest". Well worth the trip for people watchers.
There is also a small amusement park that looks like something from the ruins of Pripyat. It was thankfully closed for the winter but expect to pay 20rmb a ride and be sure to be up to date on tetnus shots.

Worth a look if you're staying in dalian for some time, but don't bother if you're just visiting, they're are better things to see and do.

Wonderful place to walk
Jan 2019 • Couples
Love this place. Every season provides something new and exciting. During the winter months, they have a snow village with various snow activities. During the spring months, flowers are out for your view (love the rose garden). During the summer months, the amusement park is open for enjoyment (go down the toboggan if you can). During the fall months, the trees are changing their colors. The Ginko trees are so beautifully golden.

Winter Wonders In Central Park
Dec 2018 • Couples
This big, beautiful, free park is within walking distance of the train station and it is a great walk past lots of shops, restaurants, and malls. You cannot miss this park while in Dalian. The little ski hill is perfect for befinners. Nearby, there are great hotels and restaurants.

Beautiful
Oct 2018 • Family
This place was beautiful, I wish I had more time to relax here but it is definitely worth seeing. The 'amusement park' was deserted and didn't look to maintained very well. We went on that giant wheel looking thing. The price of that was ridiculous but gave a nice view of the park and city below

Window into Chinese Life
Oct 2018 • Family
Labor Park is chalk full of activities and sights that will give a great opportunity to see Chinese culture. The park has many groups of dancers practicing ballroom and choreographed group dances. There are many carnival rides for children, a pond for fishing, poker players, and other activities.

Excellent park with lots of flowers- really beautiful ...
Oct 2017 • Couples
This park is very beautiful especially the flowers at the entrance and the way they have been carved to give them beautiful shapes is amazing. Inner areas of the park are also beautiful. A big football in the center is a special attraction. Very nice views of the skyscrapers opposite the park from here. Really nice place to hang out....

Early morning walk to admire the trees and flowers
Jun 2018 • Solo
I stayed at Kempinski Hotel which is across the Labour park. At 5 am, I took a morning walk there. It is a peaceful place with many different kinds of trees and some colourful flower beds. Sadly I did not ride the chair lift to the top. Near the east entrance I spotted a school bus "future-harvard education group".

Very big park in Dalian
Jun 2018 • Solo
This park was first built as a Japanese park, and if you have ever visited Ueno park in Tokyo, you may find some similarity between the parks. Now there is a very big Chinese pagoda here, and the roses blooming here were very pretty. You can find 12 sculputures representing Chinese animal calendar, too. Just a walking distance from a metro station. There are public toilets near the entrance, but mind! Not so clean, . . . ( Don't worry, they are not so called pit style ones!! )
