A good theme park with a sound polar world despite its small size

This place claims to be a AAAA-class tourist site in China. I spent about 2 and a half hours there last week with my major focus on the polar world as the animals there appear... read more

Sun Asia is a large locally spread out complex just off the shore line at Dalian. The areas comprise of maritime zoo, old world things, reptiles, coral exhibtion, shows, etc. Whilst it is quite good in places other parts I felt it was crual the the animals in their tiny enclousers, (polar bear in particular). The biggest problem we had... More

This park is remarkebly big. Not only does it have many aquariums, you can also enjoy several shows with seals, walrusses belugas and dolfins. However, wenn we visited the park yesterday the great number of visitors unabled us to see it all.

Got to be the best attaction in Dalian if you have children. They have five large attactions. Located in a popular area of town. And Did I mention they have a beach and a castle nearby. The aquairiums have all kinds of fish and and artic animals. My daughter love the Dinosaurs experience. Great place to spend the day. Food... More

It was about 100 RMB to get into the Sun Asia Ocean World aquarium, and overall the experience was completely underwhelming and overpriced. There 'exhibits' give no information about the kind of fish or anything else, so don't go expecting to learn anything from the trip. It felt more like we were walking through a series of photo ops than... More

I visited here with my husband and my daughter when we are visiting grandparents in Dalian. I'd have to say I am very disappointed, the theme is very dark and some animals living condition are very concerning. Seen much better places.

This place claims to be a AAAA-class tourist site in China. I spent about 2 and a half hours there last week with my major focus on the polar world as the animals there appear to be worth a visit more than the submarine tunnel which is claimed to be the longest of its type in the world. First of... More

First thought arriving was that this place was run down and dated. However, all the attractions were enjoyable and better than expected. Saw pequins and many other aquatic creatures. The little beluga whale was hilarious swimming in circles. As are many attractions in China, kids here don't get much discipline and bang on the glasses nonstop, which was terrible. The... More

The theme park is free but the three aquariums have separate fees: Ocean World, Polar World, and Coral World. The park is beautiful. There's a midway. A big bunjee jumping tower over the water is a huge attraction. So is the world's longest underwater aquarium tunnel. Call ahead for free English-speaking guides.Take the double-decker bus #801 from downtown Dalian to... More
