Nice beach with beautiful sculptures and very picturesque. Famous for beach braai where you pay 30 yuan each and you bring or buy your own meat and veggies and they Braai for you. There is also a spot for capturing beautiful sun set pictures. In the afternoon elderly people Tai chi, Chinese exercise.

This is actually a small beach area plus a big park. I did not go to bathe in the sea as it is very crowded, but did go for walks in the mornings in the park. The park is very nice, and you could walk around the park in about an hour. In the mornings you see a lot of senior citizens doing aerobic exercising in large groups. There is also an area in the park where you could do fishing from above a ridge, in addition to fishing on the beach. There are a few restaurants in the vicinity as well.

The beach was not cleaned or picked up; therefore, it can be dirty especially during the heavy travelling seasons. There are too many tourists during the summer time. The beach is made of rocks and hardly any sand; therefore, it does hurt your feet when you walk on it.

It's a long beach but way too crowded.. I went on a weekday and almost could only see the water through banks and banks of locals!

The sea looked clean enough but the beach is so crowded with people and tents etc etc. It’s not very attractive. On the beach next door many locals will come to search for seafood when the tide is low. Interesting to see.

At the start of August, in 2018, a photo of an incredibly crowded beach, with thousands of people in the water, close to shore, and on the beach, with colourful inflatable beach toys, made the news around the world, from China Daily to the Irish Times: Fujiazhuang Beach in downtown Dalian! Foreigners, far away, might be horrified to see such a crowd but once you've been in China for a while you know people here love crowds like this. The beautiful beaches of Jinshitan, at the other end of Dalian, attracted thousands of people, but Golden Pebble Beach never gets crowds like this place!
