Enter the north entrance- there is a large shop called miniso -with cheap stuff charging cables, perfume, toys, etc. Lots of local food around, very packed during the weekend but worth the visit. You can easily get lost so prepare comfy walking shoes.

This isn't far from the main Dalian Train Station. There are other shopping centers a short walk (a few blocks) from here. There's a large food court on the first underground level at one end. It's worth seeing, even if you don't buy anything.

The Place is very big. Make sure you remember your entrance. You have to bargain here. There's a lot of cute things to see. If you don't like to bargain for small stuff, there are 10 yuan store and 2 yuan store, but the varieties is not much.

Not all shops will allow you to bargain, but with each floor you descend the prices get cheaper and the bargaining gets better. Be careful of getting lost in the maze. Try to remember some landmarks as you go along. Also, it's not easy to find the same shop again the next day, so try to bargain as much as you can so that you can take all your purchases immediately.

Shopping underground is great if you like bargaining - loads of clothes and knock offs.
The Dashang department store is in the vicinity and its quite impressive in terms of size and selection. The gourmet foods on the first floor is great for foreigners interested in stuff you don't see everyday!

Victory Plaza is an underground labyrinth of shoebox stores you could get lost in, happily, for hours. Five floors connected by stairs, escalators, and an elevator, with an enormous number of small shops selling clothes, shoes, jewellery, and so on, with a food court that has fast food from Korea as well as China and some North American franchises including Dairy Queen. Victory Plaza is short walk from the first stop on the Dalian train system and it takes you under the high speed train station along a broad pedestrian walkway lined with great fast food vendors. People from Dalian get lost in Victory Plaza, never mind visitors from other countries, so take care and have fun.

Victory Square is now a clean, wee-lighted, place. The underground shopping mall is famous for its maze of small shops in Dalian. It has been renovated over the past few years so now it looks like a new mall, in mant places, with new shops and a fresh look.

Victory Square had a make-over so now it's clean, bright, and inviting. The maze of shops underground is no longer intimidating. It's fun. So many stores, services, food places, and good deals.

As I stayed in Kempinski Hotel, I needed to use this underpass to get to the railway station to take light rail train on line 3 to Golden pebble Beach or to joy ride tram 201(RMB 1).
I passed this underground shopping area many times and after a while I got the hang of it. One way is to read the sign on the floor which directs one towards the railway station. I also recognised a row of colorful seats which will lead me to the escalators and out.
The underpass is opened 24 hours and there are many entrances but only one or two with escalator. Nearest metro stop is Youhao square.
