I would not call it is a botanical garden, it is really just an ordinary park inside the city of Dalian. There are some cherry trees which are nice looking when in blossom. Not easy to call taxi there, need to walk down to the mainstreet. It would be a nice walk if go in early morning as much less people. Though it is free entrance, I would not suggest to treat it as the high priority to visit if you have limited time to spend in Dalian.

This is about a 10 minute walk south of the Children's Park,and is well worth a visit.Again it has a large lake at its centre,and some lovely plants and trees.When I was there a flautist was practising his music near the entrance...
