Apparently on a good day you can clearly see the two separate oceans, but this is weather dependent. on the day I visited, you couldn't really see it at all. However, it is a nice area to walk around with some nice scenic views.

This scenic spot is where the Yellow Sea meets the Bohai Sea. It's really amazing to observe a difference between the two seas. There are some great view points to enjoy the ocean from. Tip on getting here (if you don't have your own car). We caught bus 18 in Lushun to the "bus terminal", hop off and you change to another bus (which isn't numbered but it goes down to the scenic spot and it's the last stop in on that route). The bus does this route every hour about, so there's time to explore and then get back to the bus stop to get back to town

The drive here from Dalian CBD took about 1.5 hours but it was worth it. From the viewing platform, you can clearly see the difference in the sea colour, one side was white, another was blue. The white side was like covered in a blanket of clouds (which I think was actually mist) and the boats on it looked like they were floating in the sky. The ocean was so calm. I didn't really care much about the lighthouse. From the parking, the walk to the viewing platform took about 20 mins and it was an uphill walk on a cemented footpath. So this portion was pram friendly. Heading back to the parking lot, we took another path that had steps going downhill so not advisable for prams or heels (the ground was uneven). On this path, you also pass an enclosure with a lot of rabbits. There was also a goose, a peacock and some other birds.
