This park celebrates the exit of the Japanese occupation on 19.02.1945. There is a large lake in the park, but only about one metre deep. Dug by Chinese female slaves for the recreation of the Japanese occupation army

I visited this park in the middle of winter and was amazed at the size of the Park, the various walk paths and the opportunity to just sit and watch others enjoying the surroundings.

Recommended for a part-time sight seeing!! Is in the same area of the giant jade Buddha, but to see it, it's necessary to get inside a complex of a temple and pay 70 yuans. I think it worthwhile, not just because of the giant jade Buddha at all, but because of its cultural and architectural value. Very interesting!

219 Park is a massive park in the centre of Anshan. It is popular with all ages of people. Chinese culture is very much a park culture and you will find people in the park conducting all kinds of hobbies from kite flying and taichi classes to line dancing and caligraphy. This is the place for people watching. Especially in the early evening, walk through and observe the culture around you.

In winter, there are two areas of the frozen lake kept in great shape for skaters. One large area has a skating rink by a pagoda and another section, nearby, has a hockey rink. A beautiful pagoda serves as a picturesque backdrop, great for photos. The park is famous for the world's largest jade Buddha, a short walk from the lake.
