Amazing Private Tour with Becky

I took the Essence of Suzhou tour through this company. My guides name was Becky and she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The company was very prompt with communication and even personalized the tour to fit my needs. I highly recommend this tour company and Becky the tour guide. I would also like to note that as a tall, person of color I was a bit of a novelty and many onlookers waned to take pictures or ask questions. Becky was very professional and protective of me and always controlled the situation. I really appreciated her.

Wonderful Suzhou day tour!

We took the tours from China Private Tours before. And they never disappoint us. We took the train from Shanghai to Suzhou this time. We were met at the Suzhou train station by Cindy and she was great. She taught us so much about the gardens in suzhou, which were amazing, we took a canal cruise with her and understood a lot about the people who live nearby the canal. Cindy took us to the home of a Chinese family that cooked an authentic Chinese lunch for us, which was very good and some of the best food that we ate in the two weeks we were in China. We saw a great museum and the ancient street. Cindy, who speaks very good English and is very knowledgable about the history of Suzhou and China. If we ever get to go back, we will surely use them again.

Great fun for kids and Adults ! - Take a Rickshaw trip along the canals. ...its amazing !!
We took the train from Hangzhou to suzhou and had a brilliant day. The train service is fantastic and very well organised. Linda met us at the station and took us on a amazing day. We went to the gardens / city wall / canals and local markets but the highlight was an amazing couple of hours on rickshaws in the old part of town. Linda was very flexible and adjusted the day to meet our needs and we loved it

Suzhou Day Tour

Overall, this was a very relaxing and informative tour. Our tour guide Susan was extremely knowledgeable of all the sights and able to answer all of our questions. She speaks perfect English and because of her, the tour experience was outstanding. We never felt stressed and could stop and take in all of the sights at a leisurely pace. We were very happy with the service provided and would recommend Suzhou Private Tours and Susan to all.

Excellent one day English speaking tour

We had a great day with May (our tour guide). She was knowledgeable and willing to work with us on our particular interests. The highlight of our day was the 1.5 hours we spent in the Humble Administrator's Tea Garden.

Fantastic Suzhou experience.

We had a fantastic trip in Suzhou. All the service organized by China Private Tour were in very much impressive and memorable to us. We were picked up at the Suzhou train station and dropped off the train station after the tour. We saw many beautiful things just in one day with a very resonable price. My parents and I enjoyed it a lot. The people of Suzhou and the phenomenal history and beauty of the city will always be vivid in our minds.

The lunch in a local restaurant was fantastic, we enjoyed it a lot. I would like to say that it was the best food I had in China even i live in Shanghai.

Catherin was the best guide we had in China. She was very professional, extremely knowledgable in not only the city or area but knew so much about the Chinese history it was mind boggling. She gave us too many facts as far as I was concerned but some people really appreciated the details.


The service and behavior of the driver Mr Wang was also satisfactory.

We absolutely recommend you to choose China Private Tour if you want to see Suzhou.

Fascinating and Beautiful Part of China

We thoroughly enjoyed seeing Tongli and learning about the history and culture of life along the canals there. Anita was a great guide, providing a lot of background and context. She was thoroughly knowledgeable about the local area, as well as the customs, culture, and history that formed the context for what we saw. The only thing I would suggest is that a boat ride be part of the tour package. It was an inexpensive addition, but it's something everyone would want to do.

Silk, gardens, cuisine and more

Bonnie arranged for a good driver to meet at the Shanghai hotel and we met our guide Monica in Suzhou. Her English is great, as is her knowledge for the tour and friendly personality.

The silk factory tour was excellent and the Lingering Garden beautiful.

Bonnie was fast to respond to questions. 5 star tour group I will use again.

Great tour of Suzhou with Jack

My wife and I had a great time with our guide Jack. We did a private tour Jack was flexible, knowledgeable and all around friendly. His English was great and he could share information based on his life in Suzhou, and provided a lively history of not just the city but the various dynasties and their effect on Suzhou.

Mr. Ma, our driver was friendly and courteous, the car was air conditioned clean and he was always there to pick us up at the end of each walking segment.

I would highly recommend this tour if you want to get a feel for the city.

Nanjing private tour by China Private Tours

The tour-guide, Anna, knew a lot about history and did an excellent job of explaining the sites and their importance. She even corrected errors in translations on site markers where the English translation from Chinese was incorrect. She did a good job of managing time, and we managed to see all schedule sites without being rushed. Nanjing is a beautiful city that is on a much smaller scale than Beijing so you can learn a lot about China without the long Beijing walks.
The city is very accessible even for people with wheel chairs.
