We loved the Pagoda of Tiger Hill and the walk leading up to it. The pagoda is very old and the steps leading up to it are very nice. The area in April is quite wet and slippery so do bring a good pair of shoes.
Ticket price for entry is 70 RMB for peak season April to October and 60 RMB for the rest of the year. The park around also has many nice ponds, walking paths and a large bonsai tree garden.

The Yunyan Pagoda, also known as the Leaning Pagoda, stands on top of Tiger hill and for me was the main attraction of Tiger Hill and why I went to Tiger Hill. I think the best time to go is mid to late afternoon, so you have enough time to climb the stairs and walk and get to the top. Once we paid and got into the Tiger Hill park, we were able to get a motorized cart ride up there, but had to pay and additional fee for it. It was late, dusk was approaching, we were in a hurry so it was worth it. The lighting was just right when we got to the top and to the leaning Pagoda, and we got some nice pictures which I have attached. The Pagoda is over a 1000 years old and is seven stories in height and famously leans much as the Leaning Tower of Pisa. In fact this pagoda both predates and is taller than the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The top and bottom of the tower vary by 2.32 meters, which I understand is not as much as the Leaning Tower of Pisa (which I understand is 3.39 meters)

The leaning pagoda is very cool to see, it's one of those things where you just can't make sense of how such a huge (and old!) structure is still standing today when it is leaning the way it is. Lots of tourists, but that's what it's there for :) Glad we went and saw this pagoda and surrounding park/gardens, it's a beautiful and well-maintained area! Very serene and peaceful walking around the bamboo-lined paths and rock structures.

I wouldn't call it majestic, but you can survey Suzhou pretty well from the top of the pagoda. The rest is an average garden, but since it isn't one of the main attractions in Suzhou it's significantly less busy, so come here to avoid the crowds.

The highlight of the Tiger Hill area, which is a must-visit in Suzhou. Hence, this is key highlight of the area and should not - and will not - be missed.

I visited this place as part of a tour through China. It had a lovely atmosphere and felt so secluded from the cityscape. It reminded me of the Buddhist Temples you might see in the movies, high up in the mountains. Definitely worth a visit I think!

It was interesting seeing the architecture of this pagoda .. the place was very quiet maybe because we arrived there at sunset time. People love taking photos there the kind of leaning on the pagoda as if you were the one pushing it :-)

If you are not the fittest person (like me) be aware of the steps to make it to the temple at the tip of the hill, Very pretty, well maintained gardens, the temple sits high on top of the Tiger Hill Park area - and on a clear day - you can see for miles. Lots of story, tradition and interest. A good day out.

Tiger Hill is great and this pagoda is very interesting. It is the leaning tower of China! Once you climb Tiger Hill, this is what greets you at the top. It is great to look at, but that is all you can do as it is closed (sensibly) to the public. It is worth seeing along with everything else on Tiger Hill.

If you like history... if you like mystery... and you heard of stories about hidden treasure under this pagoda - there is your chance to see it, at least from outside. Nice nature surroundings and lots of things to see and enjoy. A must for any visitor of Suzhou!
