Just find where it is, and go!

This is actually the confluence of three different streets.

Guanqian Jie is Suzhou’s famous pedestrian shopping strip in the city centre, which includes franchised snack/bakery type outlets renowned for pastries, sesame cakes and steamed bread with fillings.

Off it lies the evening-only, 200 metre-long TaiJian (Eunuch) either Nong (Alley) or Long (Lane), which together with Bifeng Fang, at its end, are the city’s most famous food streets.

Full of gastronomic delights, including both street fare and restaurants, TaiJian Alley (as it’s most commonly referred in English) is a must for not only tantalising your taste-buds, but for a truly Chinese experience.

Bifeng Fang is stall upon stall of splendid Suzhou-style snacks.

Sample bite-size helpings on-the-go, or wrangle for a picnic-style table and dig in to a full banquet-style feast.

Whatever you do, just find where it is, and go!

If you’ve got more than one night in Suzhou, you’ll return every single one you’re there.
