The overall residential and tourist area is certainly beautiful and a slice of old China that you don't see very often.Well worth spending some time here and just wandering about.

This was, years ago, the bar street of Suzhou. These days, due to government regulations and competing nightlife elsewhere, it’s quieter. It’s a long street south of Suzhou University running East-West across the old city. You’ll get a good sense of ‘old Suzhou’ in this...More

Very nice pedestrian street if you like to get run over by the constant stream of honking scooters. It took us about 10 min to cross the entire street. Not to be underestimated as it was in July.

This is a lovely walk by the canal with some gorgeous buildings and boats along the way. It gets crowded. There are lots of shops and restaurants along the way.

This place is famous mostly for the Bars but if you have time try visit it during the day. It is one of the ancient streets of Suzhou with stone pathways and the canal. Very good opportunity to take pictures.
