A long pedestrian walking street with a number of fashion stores, food stores and historic buildings. A great place to take a stroll and have some local street food. There is an eat street at the Mingxin street end. The pedestrian street is at Xunlimen metro (line 1,2).

Shopping everywhere! International brands and local brands. Very affordable if there's sales. Night market from 5.30pm to 1030pm. It's worth the visit.

If you're missing the comforts of home and would rather shop in US/Euro stores and eat at US fast food joints, this is the spot for you. It's pedestrianized, so you can wander through the throngs with relative ease, but at night it gets VERY crowded. Surrounding the main shopping streets are some narrower alleys with night markets offering basic household goods, T-shirts, cheap clothing & souvenirs. Perfect for browsing once you've had your Big Mac & super size fries.

This is where Wuhan residents come to hock loogies and excrete saliva. The lovely sounds of people preparing their loads of spit and phlegm they wish to eject over anything in sight can be heard all over this street. If you are not a local you can hear the cries of people screaming "foreigner foreigner" in chinese as you walk past. Try to avoid their spit, but good luck with that. Then you need to find a way to navigate through the sea of people that make moving through this venue a challenge for even the most veteran urbanite. Seriously, avoid the spit.

So this is a fantastic pedestrianised street full of shops and cafes and restaurants. When I went it was a weekday afternoon and there cannot have been more than a handful of people there. It was amazing to look down and just see shops with no end in sight.
I got there in a taxi, I got the taxi driver to drop me off at one end, and at the end of the afternoon I caught a taxi back to my hotel at the other end.
However, the big caveat is that unless you really require an afternoon's worth of shopping (which I did as I had no luggage), it probably is not worth a visit. It feels very European and is all brand spanking new and shiny. So it does depend why you are in Wuhan in the first place and what you are trying to achieve. If you wan to go shopping, then this is the place to go for Western brands. Good if you are living overseas and wish to stop up on clothes and accessorries. Lots of great shoe shops too. And decent quality stuff. If you are a tourist in Wuhan and your time is limited, then I would suggest giving it a miss.
I've given it 5 stars for a shopping area, NOT as a tourist attraction.

Not very interesting as there were not many things to see. Be aware of touts trying to sell you anything from fake watches to fakes track shoes. Had some rather interesting brands.

If you are out to buy branded stuff, its a good place to check out. Good also for an evening walk, with food like KFC, McDonald and Burger king available

As it demands itself as the "Nanjing street of Wuhan" - correct. Many shopping malls across the street. Very convenient to reach by metro (line: 2, Station: Jianghan), in fact if you exit by the gate B of the station you are on the street. I would recommend it to go after evening.

Although I guess it an unusually long street blocked from cars, it is typical stores that you could find at any mall. I went during the National Day holiday and it was extremely crowded.
