Wuhan is knows having much lakes in China teritory and East Lake is one of the best spot for sure. Great to spend time there for sightseeing.

Walking through the park is impressive because of the lotos covering big areas of the water, the nicely painted little boats and shadowed walks in the park.

Huge lake which borders Han Jie (shopping area) and Wuhan University. Take a ferry ride. Doesn't cost much with a guide (Mandarin speaking only). Sights are clearer in the day, but the night sights are good for the lights.

East Lake itself is huge, and there are many pockets of gardens around it. I went to the cherry blossoms garden (the season begins in March and ends around late April/May. It was crowded but I can understand why. It is absolutely and breathtakingly beautiful....More
