The Grande Custom House clock tower is one of the masterpieces of Wuhan classic architecture. It locates at the end of the pedestrian walk (Hanging Road metro station, line 2), at the water front. The other 2 masterpieces are the old HSBC building and the old Citibank building which locates on the water front (YanJiang Road, 5 min walk from Custom House). All these buildings are built at the turn of the 20th century.

Different from most museums in China, this has many explanations in english and is quite interesting. The old building comes on top of this.

About 100 years old.

More important when Wuhan was a big port city.

Attractive enough but not a must see.

One of the nicer old buildings that is well maintained and now s museum but not that great.

This is another governmental kind of building that apparently lights up when it's night time! During the day you can walk around the place to see the fountain, then at night also splashing ...all very nice to see!

Nice looking older building close to the waterfront, I was here on a Saturday afternoon, and what was more interesting was the large number of newly wed couples having photos taken on the road side. OK if you are in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way.

Yes, it´s nice architecture, no doubt. If it were in any European city, would be the architectural historical highlight nuber 5362. As in Wuhan from a touristical perspective there´s not much, this comes high up on the list.
One more place that if you´re by, worth the vsiit. Otherwise don´t go.
Good thing is the metro, line 2 close by.
