Good for a walk, but that’s it
Nov 2020
If you go there early, you might see elderly people doing their exercises. The Mao Monument is a waste of time.

Yangtze River Ferry in the Eyes of a Wuhan Local
Jan 2020
I am a native of Wuhan, and I often take some foreign guests to visit Wuhan. For me, Yangtze River Ferr is:As an ancient means of transportation across the Yangtze River, ferry still retains its special charm. Taking a ferry across the Yangtze River, the wind stroke the face, and the scenery on both sides is like a moving picture, which is a wonderful sensory experience. You will also meet many Wuhan residents on this journey, such as romantic lovers, college students, and small vendors busy with their livelihood. Everything will be your unique memory .

Spectacular Light Show
Sep 2019
The beach park is not all that interesting, but the lights visible here at night are the best I've ever seen. Much better than Shanghai. Come at night and you will leave with a smile (and a ton of photos).

Excellent place for a stroll at night
Oct 2017 • Couples
We walked along the lakes edge at night to enjoy the light show across the water. It is simply stunning and covers a huge area. There were people dancing under the stars and we stopped and joined in. Then there were the well lite fun roller cars along the path. There were people using the exercise equipment and others boxing.

Do this at Night!
Jul 2017 • Business
Great for all family members or for a solo hike and exploration. Bring water and make sure to wear comfortable clothing. There are all types of sights to see along the river. The city really lights it's building up at night giving a spectacular show to all. Night Club action is fast and exciting - don't miss it.

Fun to spend the afternoon here. Can purchase inexpensive kites to fly. Beach along the river is very coarse sand

Love This Area
Dec 2016 • Solo
I love this area, I stay at the Marco Polo on business, and this area is picturesque, and interesting to walk along. There is always something happening, kite flying, Tai Chi, top Spinning, kids playing on the riverbank, boats to watch. The area has lot's of greenery, ope spaces and leisure areas. If you want to exercise, chill out or just spent some pleasant time, this is the area for you, it certainly is a contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city.

A place for time pass
Sep 2016 • Family
If you are staying in Wuhan for some time and need to time pass, you can concider to visit. Specially a good place to enjoy the time during summer / autumn evening. It is beside the Wuhan Science and Technology Museum. Nearest metro station is Jianghan Street (line 2). You need to exit through gate C and walk about 700 meters through the Jianghan road.

Nice place for an evening stroll
Aug 2016 • Solo
Known as Wuhan's answer to Shanghai's famous Bund, this is the river front esplanade that runs from bridge to bridge along the Yangtze river. I visited in August 2016 and the river was so low that families were splashing in the water on beaches that lined the river front. At night, there is an amazing light show to see on the East side of the river from the West, with all the buildings lit in synch and it's well worth seeing. Just a nice place to soak up some atmosphere as the air cools in the evening.

Sustainable park with locals and visitors
Feb 2016 • Friends
The park is constructed to be a sustainable and green structure. For the most part it is free but if you are tired there is an electric golf cart for 15 yuan a person and the river boat cruises for 150-300 yuan if you want food v. Day/night cruises.

There is a train car in the beginning of the park which is an actual old rail car. Also, there are clubs and bars in the area.
