Mulan was pretty. We went during the October holiday so it was a little crowded but not bad. It is not a real hiking or trekking mountain. It has a paved path & lots and lots and lots of stairs. You pass some waterfalls but in October it was a little dry. Probably better in the spring. There are other... More

I went to Mulan Tian Qi in June 2016. Took about 4 hours to reach there from where i was located. It is a beautiful place with amazing scenery. If you are a nature lover this place should definitely be in your go-to list. Amazing hiking trail. The lake is on top of the mountain. And the view is beautiful.... More

The town of Mulan is about 60kms away from Wuhan. We booked a taxi to take us there in the morning and back in the afternoon: this is important as you may not find transportation back to Wuhan easily at the end of the day (approx. $100USD). We left the hotel around 11am and were back around 8pm (it was... More

I loved everything about this place. Reaching the lake brings together a series of fun things: mountain climbing (involves a lot of stairs), waterfalls, boat ride, grass sliding, amazing sceneries. Highly recommended for a day's trip nearby Wuhan.

We took the mountain route to the Mulan lake, it is a fairly steep walk up lots of steps. If it's summer you'll be very hot, it is humid too, watch out for mossies. Grant scenery, waterfals and views over the valley. At the top is the lake, you can take a boat across it. Then you can go to... More

If you are an expat in Wuhan, or a student studying here, and want to get away from the mad heat in the hot summer, try camping here. Quite nice to get away from the busy city life. If you are a tourist and spend only 1 or 2 days here in Wuhan, and don't have a car, don't bother.... More

The lake is fun, but enjoyed the hill/mountain climb more. It always feels great to leave the city behind and Mulan hill and lake makes a great day out.
