There's a bus stop within walking distance (bus ticket is ¥1RMB each way).

Any bus that takes you to Harbin Sun and Ice World, Harbin Polarland and Siberian Tiger Park will take you here.

It's less touristy that Sophia's Cathedral but a lot harder to get to as it's not in the CBD.

Originally the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Alexis of Moscow, this was later taken away from the Chinese Orthodox Church and is now a functioning parish church of the local Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association. The exterior is a beautiful example of Russian Orthodox church architecture, but the inside has been ruined by being partitioned into numerous separate rooms and levels. (It's impossible to tell if any of the original painting or interior decoration has survived the remodeling that has taken place.) The church is beautifully set in a small square along Guogeli Dajie/Avenue, a popular shopping area in central Harbin.

One more Russian Style church. All red. A little bit far from the center but is your hotel is close you should pass there.

I had time to kill so I went. It's red. It's pretty. It's usually closed. It's a long walk anywhere else if the taxis don't want to pick you up. And at 4PM, good luck with that.

Wow! This church is lovely, just like St. Sophia's!!) The exterior gray and red colours are quite attractive to my eyes. Then at night, when the lights light up, that's when the fun begins! There are so many "Auntie dancers" there dancing the square dances whether it rains or not, they come and dance. So amazing!

Right in the middle of Harbin. They are very proud of the church and it is filled with very interesting photos of Harbin over the many years of its history. Can get extremely crowded though so choose your times well. Enquire re busy periods

Just like Sofiya square. Important for people interested in architecture, art and history. For others, not so much.

Since Harbin has its name as the Little Russia of China, they are many Russian architectures particularly churches here)) First time that I saw this was in Aug 2011, then recently in May 2015, went back again and discovered on Gogol Street that the church looks more brighter now at night)) Lovely place to be. Unfortunately, I am not sure if there are wedding ceremonies here when couples are getting married...but would like to see it if it's possible.
