Pleasant environment
Feb 2017 • Friends
We were right around the corner visiting Saint Sophia Cathedral and then were in route to Center Street. While in this section of China during Spring Festival, it is almost mandatory to make frequent stops because of the -25 degree weather. We stopped here to check it out and were pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of items one could buy. We would have gotten a lot more but we were touring and not shopping. If you need to load up on goods and would like to be in a pleasant environment, look no further.

Convenient and great Japanese resto nearby
Dec 2015 • Family
This a a great convenience if you are traveling and want to buy basic necessities and snacks .
We got some snacks for our bus ride to snowtown and yabuli . Also got some drinks like milk and yogurt for the kids .
The food court mentioned is no longer there but there is one just between the entrance of ibis and Mykal mall . It's very local and food is cheap .
The basement though had a great Japanese restaurant . Good break from the usual hotpot and dumplings of most restaurants .
The restaurant looks like a high end Japanese restaurant but it was fairly priced . We only paid 250 Cny for 3 adults and 2 kids ordering sashimis, temakis , rice and grill sets etc .

No more food court at basement. Not many food options available.

Passed this shopping mall on route to St Sophia Cathedral. Must say this shopping mall is the most posh that I came across in Harbin city. Went to those around Zhong Yang Da Jie and none is comparable to this. Many branded shops.

Came into MyKal mainly because of the food court mentioned in the previous reviews to get food, as well as to get some warmth after being outside for half hour. Its was a cold morning, at -15c.

Went to the basement and was disappointed to find that the food court was demolished/under renovation. Ended up in this cafe on the 4th/5th level selling Hokkaido desserts, and the ice-cream and milk tea was fantastic!

Overall, go to this shopping mall if you are into branded goods. There is a supermarket, a Japanese restaurant and another buffet restaurant at the basement. But basically that's just it.

Good for stocking up.
Good for stocking up on drinks and snacks, whether it's for late-night snacks when you can't be bothered to go out for food, or in preparation for a long train trip.

Has a good range of products available, at very reasonable prices.

Good location with a great food court and grocery!
Jan 2013 • Family
Harbin is a small town yet not. In the freezing cold sometimes you just want to find a place you can sit down and have options for different styles of food, yet not pay an arm and a let. Will the MyKal Mall has a great food court downstairs - now don't expect them to speak any English - but they are the friendliest and most helpful chefs we've ever met in China. And the noodle bowls and dumplings were just as good as the most expensive restaurant. Right next door is the grocery - so if you need snacks or those great food gifts for taking home great prices. The mall is two doors down from the Ibis so it's a great location.
