Great little museum that traces the history, background and lineage of the minority groups represented in the heilongjiang region.

Takes about half a hour to wander through, and provides a welcoming break from the winter cold.

This is actually not a separate museum. It is located inside the temple area of Confucian Temple. It didn't take that long to go through the exhibitions. There are old clothes, tools etc. worn and used by Chinese hundreds of years ago till today. The reason why went to the museum was that it was done at the same time when we went to have a look at the ceremony in the temple itself. There are no explanations in English which makes it fast for you to visit. Maybe much more to learn for people able to speaks Chinese. Cannot remember if there was any small ticket fee (for the Temple area, you use the same main gate for both), but as always in China it is better to carry your passport/ID with you to get in.
