For nature lovers
Jun 2018 • Couples
We were caught in the morning traffic jam trying to get here. As a result, we did not have much time to walk around. Anyway most of the flowers have not blossomed yet. We needed to pay an entry price of RMB 20 each. Great for nature lovers

Looks very different in winter

A very stark landscape, but it still remains a great place to go for a walk if you can withstand the bitter cold.

Ha, went there just after it opened. Wow what a let down. I can speak Chinese but they ignore all the guest foreign and domestic.Yes it has many fields of flowers and nothing else. Over priced, not friendly and just a waste of time

A place to relax and enjoy peaceful moment inside the crowded city
Jul 2016 • Solo
The entrance fee for this garden is 15RMB. It's length is approx. 2kms so there is still lot of space to stay alone if you want so. I went there during a weekend and still it was not crowded. I could walk alone for long distances without seeing almost anyone. Peaceful place where you can just enjoy all the nature and forget the busy life of crowded city. Not maybe your destination for a short visit to Harbin but I stayed there for 3 months so it was like a meadow for a person seeking for silence and peace still not too far away from city and public transport.

A peaceful place to spend a weekend morning in spring/summer!
Apr 2015 • Couples
Well if you visit in spring (that's when the flowers bloom), the views are spectacular.
The entire area is spotted with gardens, small lakes/ponds, sculptures. a perfect place for a picnic.
Make sure you bring your own food, don't expect many suitable food stalls there.

Fall at the Garden
Sep 2014 • Friends
Fall isn't the best time to visit the Botanical Garden as work is already underway in some areas to prepare for winter, but even so the Botanical Garden is a lovely place to visit and get a reprieve from the concrete jungle that is Harbin. There are a number of nice sitting areas that would be great for picnicking, and even in the cooler September weather I passed a couple of small groups of picnickers when I visited. All in all well worth a visit!

One of the best outdoor spots in Harbin!
Sep 2011
We have always LOVED going to the Botanical garden! We go as often as we can in spring, summer and fall. It's closed in the winter. It is huge and the kids can run and play without worrying about cars! Lots of green grass, a pond, water bridges, a neat looking castle, trails, benches, water sprinklers, 3 seater bikes to rent, and most of all LOTS of Chinese brides getting their pictures taken! On a Saturday in the summer we have counted over 50 brides with various colored dresses! A great place to picture taking for sure.
There are also some fun water rides, like little boats to rent and ride.
The price is also pretty cheap making it a great choice for the family!
