The Harbin Grand Theatre is a visual feast. I've seen pictures of it online but finally had a chance to visit when I was in Harbin. It exceeded my expectations. We are given a special tour inside and out which included walking around outside, into...More

The Harbin Grand Theatre stands out with simple, eye catching curved lines. The curved facade and spiral stairs up and around the theatre are challenging for architects and builders.

It was closed but the exterior has a stairway (that groove you see on the roof) which is pretty cool

This should be a major attraction to Harbin, with its stunning design. Sadly it appears to be underused. Even the box office has next to nothing in it. Build quality appeared to be less than you'd hope for, but after walking around, up & down...More

This surprising structure juts out of a riverbank in Harbin. It looks a bit out of place but is interesting. Check it out when you go to see the Tiger park.

You don't need to be an architect to admire this place. both outdoor and indoor. We went to watch a ballet performance so we could go inside. It is an amazing theater. the exterior is magnificent and different. The only negative aspect was that internal...More

It looks surreal and I wanted to have a closer look. So I’ve taken a panoramic tour on the outside of the main building, free of charge, on my way to the airport. Say 30 minutes, all in all. I didn’t have the chance and...More

We watched a modern ballet show, so was able to see the inside of the Theatre (closed to the public when there's no show). Wonderful architecture inside and out. The only negative is that the ticket office is in another building some distance away from...More

The most beautiful architecture of the world in 2015 has drawn quite attention for its unique and brilliant and genius design both in and out of the grand theatre. The traffic should be worried as it is located quite far from the city centre, so...More
