Went there just before we left Shijiazhuang. We were very impressed with the over 500-year old wall painting. The temple is very quiet and peaceful.

Attractive Sculptures in Pilusi
Feb 2014 • Friends
Built during the Tang Dynasty, Pilu Monastery dated more than 1270 years. The temple is famous for its sculptures, both inside the temple as well as at its compound. The stone sculptures were skilfully carved.

Pilu Buddha, 毗卢佛, is the universal primordial Vairocana Buddha from whom all Buddhas emanate.
