Great trip with the friends.

This is a wonderful city where is close to BeiJing,it can save much time for the flights with many options. And the local food ,people are both nice.
I will stay here for some time and could visit frequently .
Any questions for the cities of QinhuangDao,I will try to help you out of the problems.

Lying on the beach think nothing just relax!

Bei Dai He is really close to Beijing. So for people who has time in Beijing, they can choose to come spend 2-3days in Beidaihe. Simply just for relax. When there's good whether, you can just rent an umbrella for cheap prices and lying on the beach chair or blanket for whole day!

Nice beach, but chilly June water

Nice well-maintaned beach, but the June waters are too chilly for us. Being relatively close to Beijing, it is a favourite getway for many Beijing citizens. But on our visit on a sunny but cool June weekday, there were only a few beachgoers, and even fewer in the water.

Cool Morning Walk

My friends and I were there at about 6 a.m. Many people were already on the beach and some of the shops were opened. We enjoyed the brisk walk and went out on the rocks. The weather was extremely pleasant. It was good to see so many seniors assisted by their younger family members. Lovely atmosphere.

A nice clean beach front resort

There is not a lot of choice or good beaches in China. Beidaihe is one of the better beaches in the area and relatively close to Beijing. It makes for a pleasant place to relax with young children, or to sunbathe. The site is particularly popular with Russian tourists. Other western tourists are rather rare here.

"First glance of chinese sea!"

The weather were fine. Except it was windy and at time, there was kind of sand storms. The water was cool. What suprised me was at some part of the beach, you got to buy ticket to be able to see the stone sculptures. It was kind of crowded at the time we were there.

The beach and the wall

Amazing place, Beach is surrounded with seafood restaurant, better to find the hotel directly there, lots of Russian at Beidahe, them you can go to the old city, patrimoine of UNESCO. Nice to visit, if there is no much pollution.
There is parking very close and another one more on the east part, for 15¥ for the whole day. Restaurant very close.

Qinghuangdao is not a good place to visit but there are lots of interesting places nearby such as the beginning point of the Great Wall, the beaches and the wet lands

It's a reasonable, seaside destination. The town and surrounding streets are quite pleasant.

The beaches and facilities are nice enough, but in the summer it does, of course, suffer a bit from overcrowding. Certainly there is nothing wrong with it though and if you like playing or relaxing on crowded beacges, then this is better than most spots in China.

If you prefer a little more seclusion and quiet, you won;t get it here, this is a bustling and attractive tourist spot. Certainly my kids weren't even faxed by the crowds and it was only myself, used to finding more out of the way spots back home, that was put off.

Also note, prices in the surrounding stores etc are far higher than the average, so be prepared.

Popular with Chinese looking to escape the heat and bad air in Beijing, as well as with Russian tourists, Beidaihe offers pleasant, large beaches cooled by sea breezes. Crowded in Summer.
