The hotel is located high in the mountains. It is known for its views. The area is where Tai Chi was born. The hike up the mountain to the summit is worth the views.

When we visited Qinhuangdao in July we were not allowed to buy tickets to a single attraction only because we are foreigners. We had COVID NAT with us and passports but were told that only people with Chinese ID cards are allowed to enter. I wish they wrote that on their official account so we wouldn't have waisted our weekend. Qinhuangdao was a very disappointing and tourist unfriendly place

Got to the scenic resort from the train station by taking bus 25. It costs 1¥ and takes you to a stop about 500m from the entrance. The signage is in Chinese, English and Russian; incredibly easy to navigate.
Lovely way to spend an afternoon, at this resort. There's s sandy beach, clean air and a piece of the Great Wall that juts into the sea.
