Lots of animals. Most of them you can feed or touch for a price (10-20Y). For the same price you can take a picture with animals or feed them. Most animals have space to roam around. Drive through or take a train through with places to get off. The animal show was heartbreaking. The coyote and some other animals had broken spirits and hated doing their "tricks". The only ones that seemed to enjoy performing were the dogs. Lots of places to eat (mostly junk food). There is a reasonable restaurant where the rides are. If you like zoos, you will like this place. If you love animals, don't go. Save up and go on safari in Africa.

TIP: Your kids will want to feed the animals. Bring veggies (carrots, cucumbers, etc. for the rabbits, kangaroos, etc. and leafy veggies for other animals such as giraffes). Save money and don't buy animal food there.
TIP: Go off season when there are fewer people. The animals are still there but less crowds.

Its a good place to see wild animals up close. Not too well maintained but passable. Feeding the animals especially the bears is rampant and should be discouraged- only trouble if that happens they will starve.

With a day to spend in Beidaihe and two children to entertain, we took a chance on this park. I can be a bit wary about some of the Chinese parks, but knew that my two boys would enjoy it, even if I didn't.

The park itself is convenient and just off the main road, but keep your eyes open as we drove straight past it on the first attempt as it is lightly signposted compared to other attractions.

Entry costs were reasonable and we parked at the entrance area to take the train trip around the park.

There are a variety of stations and the mock-steam engine allows you to embark at will and for an extra fee, you can ride inthe driver's cab, which was a nice treat for our two Thomas the Tank Engine loving sons.

The train trundles through various enclosures and the driver we had was happy to slow down for various animals and even to feed the bears in their enclosure (although I'm not sure how good steamed bread is for them).

The train doesn;t do the full loop though, leaving an (in practice) thirty minute walk back past several attractions to the beginning, where we retrieved the car and did the drive through the park.

The animals in the park itself seemed healthy and well cared for and one of the tigers in particular was very active, engaging in what looked much like hunting behaviour as the cars went past. They don't have full freedom of their enclosures though, as low bushes conceal electric fences which obviously restrict their movement and this went for all the large predators (except the bears, who were kept in more secure enclosures).

A range of other small/medium animals were scattered throughout the drive, but a lot of the larger animals, Giraffes, elephants, camels etc. were kept in enclosures. Some looked healthy, others looked a little more sullen.

The monkeys and apes fared poorly, in comparatively small cages close to the public, where despite warnings visitors obviously fed them liberally.

There's a large monkey enclosure as well, with a covered walk-through and although it had obviously seem better days, the environment seemed much better for the primates at play.

Many of the animals were feedable and you could spend 10y-20y on the food, be it a bag of nuts, a branch or some apple. This allowed people to interact and the animals seemed confrotable enough with the process.

In addition, there is a small fairground, a handful of performances, the usual concession stands and even go-kart/buggy tracks (the go-kart track again had obviously seen better days, but it was a good size and a decent thrill to take full-pelt).

There are ceratinly worse parks in China, but it isn't the standard of the European parks we've visited (Beekse Bergen, we're looking at you for spoiling us here...).

There are a lot of nice and interesting animals. And thay are living in nice area. But i had big problems with "atractions" for money, for example you can take photo with little tiger which is visibly on drugs. And big problem are people visiting park - screaming and pushing animals. I think animals live in stress here, but it is just my oppinion. I am confused about this place.

It was worth visiting. We could see lot of wildlife animals from a very close distance about 5 meters. If somone can spend a bit mnore best way will be to hire a cab to take around safari park wherin you will be at your luxury to watch a lion or tiger from inside your car for as long as you like. I travelled by small around the park and it was ok/.

It's really a good destination to go!
My parents and my 3 years old nephew really happy on this tour. This little boy feel excited to diacover the animals' world.
We together 5 people drive a car go there, the car can directly enter the park. Where you can closely see different types of animals.
The price is good too! Half price for people who is more than 60 years old.
Oh it's my first time to see beautiful flamingo in real!

I visited with my teen daughter and seven year old daughter. Was 100 rmb to get in and 50 rmb for youngest. We caught bus 34 from the town centre and it was easy. We had forgotten our passport but the ticket seller was not fussed thankfully. Very glad we were walking around as the cars driving through were jam packed and inching forward whereas the walk was pleasant. We saw some beautiful birds that were chained up with only about six inches of chain. One of the birds was shaking which distressed my oldest daughter. Some of them were playing about but it was a pretty sad sight. Most of the animals seemed healthy enough but had bare ground or only concrete pens. The chimpanzees suffered pretty badly with just a concrete enclosure. The hippos had a large area but no mud or water to wallow in. The largest elephant was chained up but the others were roaming around. Everyone was pushing and shouting to feed them. The train ride was cool, we paid the 20rmb each to sit up with the driver but not a necessity. The animals mostly seemed in good condition and the wide open spaces were good. Plenty of toilets along the way. We took our own animal food such as carrots and lettuce but also should have taken some bread to feed the beautiful swans and ducks. We spent about three hours there and didn't see everything, we just got tired.
