Never seen a spa in China owned such amazing and big area ! The surroundings are planted of different kinds of trees and flowers, full of clean air, make your body fresh your mind away from noisy.

Largest Espa in Asia I believe. The oriental architecture is just as grand as a palace and its exclusive location is a hotel within a hotel. I tried the Thai massage which the therapist was so attentive and detailed oriented. Although it was quite costly at rmb800 for 60 min you can hardly find such service and clean spa environment in Sanya.

Don’t know if it was my day or it is Ritz Carlton standard of service. Butler Wong went above and beyond to satisfy us.
It was our fifth day at Sanya, we stay at a suite in other hotel for the first four days in the Phoenix area. Today, we moved to Yahlong bay Ritz Carlton for our second leg of vacation. We know Ritz Carlton was known for its service and comfort. We booked 2 rooms. At registration, we discover that our rooms are separated in the east and west. Butler Eric helped us and let us stay proximities to each other and provide us with 1 room upgrade with pool view. And other room was mountain, the room was impressive but view was slightly disappoint due to dark. When I enter my room after registration, the room was not muggy at all. The view of the pool was Impressive, that extra $ is worth it. When my niece sees the pool, she almost dive into it literally. We want to keep her smile, we went to concierge and check if we can get my niece a pool view. I know it was slim but butler Wong went above and beyond, he double check with his manager and granted us another pool view free of charge. This is impressive!!

Two of us both joined 3-hour Spa packages last Sunday with ESPA Sanya. We have had a very disappointing Spa experience with unprofessional therapists.
My friend's treatment is conducted by a therapist from Bali. The treatment began with body wrap, followed by golfer tonic body treatment and finished by targeted legs and feet massage.
According to my friend, first half of his treatment was great, then he fell sleep in the middle of the body massage. He slept for some time, woke up to find that his therapist was not massaging him at all. He waited and after a period of time, he feels that the therapist is doing massage for him with single hand only and then stop massaging again from time to time.
The same situation remains till almost the end of the spa treatment when he deliberately moved his body a bit to give a signal to the therapist that he is still awake. Only after this body movement, two hands were massaging him again but that's really the end of the treatment.
In fact, I was having a facial treatment next to him and I thought my friend was still sleeping. When I turn my eyes to my friend, I actually see his therapist was playing with her cell phone. To me this was not very professional but I this was just an exceptional instance so did not tell my friend at all during the treatment.
However, when he shares his experience with me after the spa treatment, I am pretty sure that the therapist might think that he was sleeping, and then she played with her cell phone causing her single-handed massage or even stop massaging at all.
This is really disappointment to happen in ESPA spa well known for its service. As a customer, we surely did not expect that fairly big sum of money we spent are return for such unprofessional treatment.
I really urge the ESPA management to look into this issue to avoid it from happening again.
