My favorive park in Sanya!
Mar 2019
We get to the park by mistake, cause the Orchid garden was closed at that day, and taxi driver just took us to the "Sky Grottoes" park. We were not really enthusiastic about the place at the beginning. We entered the park in the morning at about 10am, but it was already full of people in beatifull costumes - a big crowd of brides, grooms and photographers - then we learned that this park is one of the best places for wedding photosessions! Fortunately for us newelyweds occupied area close to the beach side, so we could continue our walk further. Nearby the entrance and a big food court there was a museum of Hainan history with remains of ancient trees in the garden, found in the nearest rivers, some of them were of 5000 years old! You can take a touristic bus to travel between locations, but we decide to walk and then the road led us along the beach to the next park location with food, high stairs to monks temple and lovely stone turtles. Several signs attracted us to climb the hill by stone stairs, where top of the hill called "Golden Gates" - well, to finish this path up you need to have really "golded" strength and stamina! But the feeling at the top is worth two-hour climbing! You can have a rest in peace and silence - the only sound you can hear is murmur of waves 900 meters below you - this is the height you just reached! Take enough water with you before climbing, otherwise you risk not to finish the route! On the way down you will be really tired physically, but absolutely rested mentally! The park provides you a combination of marvelous beachside panoramas and a chance to test your power! I wish I could visit this park again!

A place to take romantic/Wedding Photo
Oct 2018 • Couples
Very nice view, but a bit hot weather.

Can take a car tour in this area with only RMB15 only per pax. You can take as many photo you like in this area. Recommend to have a tour in this area.

Was not worth the high entrance fee
Jan 2018 • Couples
This place is probably more rewarding for someone who knows Chinese language, and understands the cultural significance deeper. For us - without this knowledge - a long stretch of rocky (unswimmable) beach, a temple, and many stone carvings of Chinese writing, did not justify the steep entrance fee.

There were certainly nice vistas and pleasant atmosphere, but this was not a must-see place for us. We found e.g. the nearby Nanshan Buddhism Park - even though man-made as well - more interesting and impressive.

Amazing scenery and beaches
Oct 2016
This area is in my Top 3 things on this island for sure. I just loved all the beaches and the lighthouse and just the whole scenery in general is amazing. I got so many great shots here! I definitely recommend everyone to go to this place!

A lot of such attractions not attractive at all. You could spend your money on others. Other attractions you can do without is The end of the world ( Tian ai hai ko)

Forgettable attraction
This has got to be the most overrated (I'm still scratching my head on how the resort won the 5A ranking from the PRC nation wide ranking agency) and overpriced attraction in Sanya.. Particularly for visitors from tropical countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia etc, this will be a really disappointing attraction. It also has a really ludicrous tale surrounding what exactly is 大洞天.. Avoid if you can!

not worth the entry fee
Dec 2014 • Friends
think I paid around 150 yuan for entry fee, but what you get is just another man-made "attraction" .
Lots of rocks, which feels like it is being placed there artificially , give the place a story lines, and it become a "tourist attraction", where visitor paid hundred to see it.
Save up your money for something else.

Beach a little run down
Jul 2014 • Couples
Not my favorite beach on the island- a bit run down and dirty. So many more to choose from with nicer sand and 1st class bars and restaurants
