Nice to look at

Watching so many couples having their wedding photos taken here was lovely to watch. Also if you like beach walking there's miles of white sand.

Love the beaches along Sanya Bay. Clear waters, pristine sandy beaches, blue skies (daytime), rosy gold skies (twilight). very refreshing winds and unpolluted air.

A much better calmer quieter beach than the commercialized Yalong and Haitang bay. Beautiful views and high class hotels esp the Pullman SANYA bay with great water parks for the family . Sunsets are picturesque & romantic , great to take photos for remembrance

This goes for miles. Not very deep but long long. Some nice views of phoenix island. Water not the best in sanya. Nice to walk or ride a bike through. Haiyue square also close. Many bus routes pass this.

When I was there, there were a lot of ships, which in my opinion ruined the view. It is however a clean beach, so if you don't mind that, it's fine. Prefer Dadonghai.

The sea water was very brown and dirty, and too many signs warning of drowning and poisonous jellyfish!

The views are nice but not a great beach for sunbathing or swimming. Much of the beach is fenced off with barbed wire, which is itself unappealing, but also dotted with no swimming signs. The Chinese regard swimming in surf unsafe so even at the swimming beaches they of often close them because of surf. Swimming is allowed at the... More

Pros -very long stretch of sandy beach -good conditions for swimming, lovely warm water and very swallow -life guards on jet skis at designed swimming points Cons -can be very crowded, Oct to April and even in may there were lots of people to but mostly they didn't swim -rubbish is left on the beach and there isn't anyone to... There is a road which follow the entire beach, too much noise and bad scenerys due to the cargo ships. You'll prefer Dadonghai bay or Yalong bay. Easy access with the bus.

We went there in Sept2014, well it's a nice place but compares to Thailand which we went in Feb2015, honestly I would say, if you have same budget, then you will enjoy more in Thailand with crystal clear water ,tasty seafood, with reasonable price.
