Not too busy (I went during peak National Holiday time and there were never more than 15 or 20 people in my vicinity).
Water is clean enough to swim in, waves are not strong. Services by a variety of good restaurants.
This beach isn't quite as nice as Dadonghai or Yalong Bay: water isn't so clean and there's more rubbish on the beach itself. But it has the advantage of being close to the centre of Sanya City and has good views out over Phoenix Island.
Is this the concept of forever tropical paradise? People spitting, urinating and littering anywhere? Trying to pickpocketing or harassing you to follow them for seafood restaurants or trying to sell you rooms or even "massage parlour". I would not call it paradise maybe forever chaotic(al)...More
I visited in April and the beach was perfect- very quiet in comparison to DaDongHai, which was packed with tourists. Sanya Bay was clean and quiet with toilets at regular intervals. The biggest drawback was that there wasn’t much in the surrounding area. No restaurants...More
