No signs for this so it is tricky to find. Walk along the bridge away from the DoubleTree on Hongshanhu Road. When you get to the end of the bridge turn right into Hongxueba Rd (not marked). Walk about 200-300m down a paved slope and look left. You should see it. 10RMB to get in. I reckon Confucius and his mates at the back of the complex are new, but most of the temple looks original (1394). Plenty of information about Confucius, but it is all in Chinese. Really lovely place.

The Wenmiao Confucius Temple was build during the Ming Dynasty era in the 14th century and bears some resemblance in style and architecture with the Forbidden City, which was build in the same period. Is has 4 courtyards and it honours the life and achievements of famous philosopher Confucius and his disciples.
You can see the normal characteristics of Chinese temples such as the depictions of dragons on the roof tiles and the marble stones bridges.
While you are there you can enjoy a nice cup of green tea, while you enjoy the quiet atmospehere.
