Uniquely Zhuhai

It's not a tourist trap because it is just a statue on the tip of a rock, almost out in the water. But across the street, there are stores selling souvenirs and food. Quite nice.

To visit this statue, one either take a guided coach package or take a nice long walk from Gongbei.. Be warned that there would be no or very limited parking place if you are driving. The statue is located at the edge of a high traffic road and after you have finishing snapping a few photos, there would be actually... More

A lovely statue to represent Zhuhai at a beautiful bay. It is a good site for a photo.to remember Zhuhai who had grown from a fishing village into a blooming metropolis. Property prices have skyrocketed here during the last 3 years. A 3 bedroom house easily cost a million or more yuan.

As I say it is just a statue but considering it is iconic to Zhuhai it is probably worth squeezing into your trip to see! I saw it at around 4pm on dragon boat weekend and have to say that there wasn't as many people there as I thought so it wasn't overly crowded!

Zhuhai is very beautiful city and this icon represents it well. Located on an "atoll" - it is special if the time is high tide, you can see sea water splashing all around, including the pathway. In a way, it is a symbol of Zhuhai and taking some photos here easily put your stamps as one of the places you... More

If Copenhagen has the Little Mermaid as their icon and NY has Lady of Liberty, why can’t Zhuhai have a Fisher Girl as their icon? They all can draw tourists to visit. The day we visited was no exception. Locals and tourists alike all packed the bridge to take selfies and photos. The fairytale love story behind this says a... More

This is a must see on your trip to zhuhai. This is the iconic symbol of Zhuhai and is a tribute to the fishing heritage of the city. It is a picturesque drive along the seaside and oyster beds.

Well, it is a nice statue and the view is great. It is on the couples road, and there are always many Chinese there taking selfies and pictures in and about the statue. It's like pigeons on top of a stature. There are so many people around the statue. What did the Chinese do before the invention of the smart... More

Beautiful bay view, but you get that all round the bay. You don't have to come here. No particular religious purpose to visit this place too. Not sure about the legend, but the statue looks like it was made in the recent few decades.
