No parking lot nearby. Our tour bus has to drop us off and then pick us up after 30 minutes. It is a leisurely saunter down the lovers lane, walking with your beloved hand in hand. Otherwise there is nothing much to see. Can take...More

A great place to take a walk at any time of day. The weather was really nice and the temperature just right. It's good that most of the construction has now finished and that the walkway can be enjoyed.

The walkpath is kept very clean, and it seems like it is very new in some parts but overall there isn't really much.. kinda blah. But nice for an evening walk.

Lotus Road - Lovers Road - How to go ? (1 Reply)
Please help with day planning on Zhuhai : I intend to do 1. Underground shopping 2. Lotus Rd 3. Lovers Rd How should I plan the day? How far are the 2 Roads from Underground Shopping ? Do I have to fill in any immigration form at the custom? Will it be safe to cross the border (back to Macau) after 8pm ? Thank You.

Lotus St (Lian Hua Lu) is a pedestrian strip directly across the road from the north-eastern exits of the underground plaza (NE2, I think is the closest). It runs beside the Bus Terminal. Lovers Rd technically begins about 2 blocks to the east of the plaza/Lotus St, at the Macau border. It is very long so if you want to drive it either take a taxi when you have finished walking Lotus St or what I often do with visitors is to walk (north) up Lotus St for about 2 blocks, then hang a left and...More

Zhuhai Xiangzhou (2 Replies)
I am planning a trip to Zhuhai (via Macau) and thought of booking a room at the Jinjiang Inn, Fenghuang Road, Middle Lovers Road. Is this location good for sightseeing i.e. are attractions such as the New Yuan Ming Palace and waterfront close by or easily accessible via public transport? Another option is to stay in Gongbei, but it seems hardly worth it to cross the border from Macau only to stay at the border. Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Fenghuang Rd is the main shopping street of the Xiangzhou commercial district so good for restaurants & shopping. #69 bus goes to the New Yuan Ming Palace and #99 to Lovers Rd. You can walk to Yeli Island. Gongbei is more geared to tourists with more shopping, spas & massage etc.
Hong Kong - is this 7-day itinerary possible? (15 Replies)
Hello, I am scheduled to go to Hong Kong this July 2014 with my elderly parents. Please help me plan for it. We will have 7 days vacation and if possible, we would like to visit Macau, Zhuhai and Shenzhen also. My initial plan is as follows. Please give your comments and suggestions: Day 1 – Morning – Ngong Ping, Giant Buddha and Wisdom Path Afternoon till Evening – Disneyland Day 2 – Morning – The Peak and Madame Tussauds Afternoon till Evening – Ocean Park Day 3 – Morning – Day...More

Possible. Day 1: keep in mind Big Buddha opens at 10am. Regarding the visits in Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Macau, i would consider optimizing the number of times you cross the borders. There is a risk of long queues at the borders and you might loose time. Why not going to Shenzhen on the way to Macau (ferry Shenzhen to Macau)? Or even going HK --> Macau --> Zhuhai --> Shenzhen --> HK (you would need to apply for a China visa in advance)? If you like to go to Windows of the World, I...More
