Nice place

This location is very nice and beautiful, however, those with limited Chinese speaking ability may have a little difficulty. I have gone there several times most recently being July 2015. I enjoy the atmosphere and beautiful scenery.

An interesting insight into traditional village life

it takes some time to get there by public transport from downtown Zhuhai, but its not too touristy, and you get the feeling its still a real village. Not many tourists about away from weekends....locals drying fish in the alleys, women using water from the many wells to do some washing. Quite a few small temples to visit, a couple of dried seafood shops and market stalls.

Few traditional villages remain in coastal China
Baishi (White Stone) Street in Qi'ao Village on Qi'ao Island is one of the few traditional fishing villages that appear almost untouched by the 21 st Century. It appears that plans are in place to attract more tourists as there was a brand new pearl "museum" and shop there when I visited recently as well as numerous (unstocked) market stalls.
As part of a visit to the Mangrove Forest and a seafood lunch, Qi'ao Village is worth exploring.

Worth a visit

If you go there, plan some time. It is not just one street, there are many side alleys to walk into. It is a great location to take pictures. Even though we went on a Sunday it was quite. Just before you arrive at the gate there is a temple with great energy and chance to collect yourself.
If you go by car there is parking available. No fee.
