Typical of Chinese parks but also has an attached water theme park. The main park is pleasant but is mostly lake so the only real choice you have is whether to clockwise or antclockwise. There's also a typical Temple just inside the gates.

Although this's a new park that duplicated from the original one in Beijing, it's still a nice place to visit. I enjoyed taking photos in this place.

It used to cost a good deal to visit but it was free in Nov. when we went. They are having trouble attracting visitors. Good for kids but just another copied example of a former real place complex in Beijing. There is so much else...More

This is a replica of the Beijing's Yuan Ming Yuan, not exactly to scale (it's smaller of course) but good enough to know the history of the original historic place. It's now free to get in. In order to get the most out of it,...More

They used to charge 10 Yuan to get in. Now it's free. It still is not worth the time to come here. A mixture of old buildings and tacky plastic theme park type characters. The only reason I can think of to put it on...More

Whoever built the reconstruction of New Summer Palace did actually a decent job. Buildings are quite nice, and the all park looks quite good. There are performances that are decent to be seen, especially the one at 10:00am in the large amphitheater. Ok now the...More

Easily do down as one of the worst place I've visited. It's cheesy, overrated and extremely overpriced. Really nothing can be remembered as a highlight. With many shops in the area touting souvenirs, fortune-telling, exotic gems, photo-taking with costumes etc. I was even dragged by...More
