Trapped in Shenzhen, all flights to just about anywhere in the world outside of China cancelled due to the widening grip of ‘Coronacracy’, so decide to journey to Hong Kong to catch a plane to Sydney. First option, the train to Kowloon, ruled out on route for fear of being quarantined in Xianggang for 14 days. Redirect the taxi to Shekou Port, ferry from the terminal to HK Airport. Even though my guide purchased me a ticket online, they would not accept it and provided no refund. I then had to Taxi 1 hr drive to Futian border crossing and walk across. Then taxi to HK central. There is only a narrow window of checking in your bags too. My flight out of HK was the next day and they still wouldn’t transport me. Use Futian border crossing not ferry from Shekou!…

This place has many international restaurants and is a very lively place to spend an evening. One can select many ethnic foods. Fountain show is not bad, too.
