Be one with nature

The Baoan park is a scenic, lush, green oasis in the heart of Baoan district, Shenzhen. Open from 6 AM - 10 PM, the park is the perfect place to relax, breathe fresh air and to de-stress mind and body after a long day's work.

It features a small man-made lake, a well-paved (asphalt) track for jogging and hiking, 2 tennis courts, a basketball court and several playgrounds for kids. The obvious appeal of this place lies on its abundance of green - trees, plants, flowers, shrubs, wide grassy lawns - everywhere. In less than an hour, you can complete one full lap (brisk walk) of the entire track which covers a distance of approximately 5km/3 miles.

The park is well-lighted at night. At exactly 6 PM, super-bright LED streetlamps (30-35 steps apart) are illuminated. There are benches by the roadside if you want to take a brief rest. I counted 3 restrooms within the vicinity. A police outpost is stationed near the entrance.

Whether you want to burn those calories, take a romantic stroll with a loved one, have fun with the family or simply need some "me" time and be one with nature, this park is highly recommended.

My day off and headed here as we have many times. We enjoy walking so here is always a pleasure. The lakes are a favourite spot to chill and enjoy nature, but the climbs are also fun so although a little run down worth a visit if in Bao'an.

Average park

This doesn't compare to the parks in Futian or luoho. It's big and very green but seemed past its prime and a bit run down. This has a good steps area to a peak which was great exercise but the views are blocked by trees. Plenty of sitting areas. Has its own bus stop called Baoan park. If you're white you WILL get stared at here.

Nice park

This park is decent, not overly convenient for most people. You'll get some looks there if you're a laowai, like most places in bao'an and longgang. But there are some good paths to walk and a little peak with some views.
