This is a nice pedestrian street. Mostly a younger crowd in the evening. We enjoyed a little shopping, had dinner at a restaurant, and enjoyed walking in the area.

so it was a night when we decided to go out and found some place to eat and hang around.
Dongmen is the place.
loaded with all kinds of stores, this place is reachable by metro. but off course, you should be able to read Chinese. i suggest you download an offline map or you might get lost. oh and offline Gogole translator. trust me.

We eat. we drink. we buy stuff and off course. WE TAKE PICTURE.
In the center of Dongmen, there a wall showing some historical event and A VERY BIG BELL!

Go absolutely crazy here, okay! This is place to be if you want to just shop like MAD! The prices here are way cheaper than HK and Macau, so keep your tourist dollar for THIS PLACE!
Just be careful of your belongings because the crowds are so tight, you are always jostling along someone else.
Generally safe though, but do be on your guard.
Lots of food choices too.
You can spend a whole day here, so might as well book a hotel here, for convenience!

A nice place for shopping and eating.
Explore all and you will find some police station container around with officer standby from day to night, so it is a safety place here.
Easy accessible through MRT..very convenient.

Note. Don't visit china when Chinese New Year is around, as city is not crowded at all. Seems like a dead/deserted city, many shops are also closed.

One of the coolest experiences in Shenzhen. Super busy foodstreet with anything you can imagine to eat. Also famous under Chinese citizens. You will not see too many internationals here and will have a great Chinese experience! One of my personal highlights!

This place is not for the faint of heart; for those craving modern airconditioned comfort and a tranquil shopping environment- stay away!
But for those game to see where the locals shop and/or cannot resist haggling over prices, this is the place for you.
During my past two visits here, I make it a point to patronise the Nantang (literal translation-South Pond) Shopping Mall, where the most intricate branded luxury costume jewellery/accessories can be found for literally 0.005% of the retail price. Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Bulgari...you name it, they have it - and if you look patiently and carefully enough, you may just walk away with what you would swear to be the actual genuine stuff. Come prepared with a thick skin and your best bargaining skills.

From Lo wu station only two stops get off Laojie station and exit D, its a long way walk shopping area for clothings, shoes, bags and any souvenirs stuff, try to negotiate with the price "bargaining skills" 😂 and for sure you will have it in the very good prices..Have fun shopping! Recommended 👍🏻👏🏻

you can find a lot of clothes shops here, which I like a lot. the peopel here are pretty busy, the problem is the sales can not say English, however, they are very nice to the foreigners. I have tried a Chinese street food .
